(MTP) is a 214 acre regional development of the Joint Development Authority of Ben Hill and Irwin Counties, comprised of the two counties and the cities of Fitzgerald
MTP solves the location dilemma facing many high-tech companies. To enhance the offerings the location offers, the JDA joined with Wiregrass Georgia Technical College (WGTC), its satellite campuses, and the Ben Hill and Irwin School systems to form a unique consortium of technology education and technology job opportunities. Millennium Technology Pointe is connected to the state wide Georgia Public Web system through its infrastructure and internet service, which is provided by Windstream and Mediacom. These carriers, in turn, are connected to major IXC's, the internet and other ILECs and CLECs. Multiple connections enable the business to have carrier redundancy and service protection through their self- healing SONET networks. These connections also provide direct access to the points of presence of major carriers and diverse high speed internet access lines.
Without a doubt, Millennium Technology Pointe promises to be a long term enhancement to both the communities and the organizations housed within the park. By building solid relationships that enhance the well-being of all, success rewards the whole.
